Does anyone know whether the Citizen CLP-1000 and the CBM-1000 are the same printer, or can use the same driver? If not, does Seagull have a driver for the CBM-1000? It's not in the Citizen list...

Thanks - Rowan

No they are not compatible as they both use different print languages. Seagull Scientific in general do not make printer drivers for POS (Point Of Sales) terminal printers as features such as high speed print performance are not needed. It is only worth our while making a Driver by Seagull for a thermal printer, if there are high performance features in the printer that would be inaccessible otherwise. See the below white paper for more details on this:

A driver for the printer can be found at the Citizen website.

Ejovirbod: In the below driver download.  Note that all Citizen printer models listed are supported by the same download.  Just select your particular model at time of install:

I tried those drivers, CLP 1000 is on the list, but it wont recognize my device. My printer is connected with serial port RS232. Any idea?

Thanks anyway!

In what way does it not recognise the device?  A serial port doesn't recognise devices like a USB connected printer does.  You should install the driver selecting the appropriate port and configure it to match what is setup in the printer.  Use the Help system of the printer driver to guide you on correct RS-232 port configuration.
