Have you tested running Bartender Pro on a HP Tablet running Windows 8.1? I've got a client who wants to run Bartender Pro from a tablet instead of a PC and I've suggested getting a tablet with OS Windows 8.1. Would this work as it is still a Microsoft system?

I don't see the form factor of the device being an issue.  If it can run Windows, and has the horsepower to run a complex application like BarTender, then there will be no problem with running BarTender on it.

mnarvind: Not sure what you mean by surrender the license? I take it that you know what your Product Key Code (PKC) is?  I'd suggest that you uninstall the software, delete residule files, folders and registry keys, reboot, and then re-install.

    Hope you can help.

I have just upgraded two machines to Windows 10

The existing installation of Bartender and the new installation on W10 work fine.

The original seagull printer driver and the latest downloaded seagull printer driver give a "cannot print to this printer" error from Bartender Ultralite and while trying to print a test page from Windows. The drivers selected were for the Argox 203DT. Both PPLA and PPLB were tested on correctly set printers. Parallel ports for both printers were tested with different cables to illimitable cable problems. Can you advise me if the Seagull Driver for this printer model is working fine in Windows 10 or if I need to configure something else in W10 to allow it to print to the parallel port. All failed print jobs were cleared. Problem persists. Printers still work fine on Windows 7 platform.

MikeNot: The printer drivers are fully Windows 10 compatible.  We advise that you only have the one version of the Seagull drivers installed in order to avoid driver conflict issues; typically the latest version is best.  Perhaps you need to get an updated version of the Ultra Lite from Argox...

I have a seagull license server which is running on Windows 2003 Standard SP2 (x86)

    Edition : Automation (10 printers)

    Version 10.0 SR1 Build 2845

May I know if Bartender need to be compatible with Windows 10 Pro.

    1. Do I need to upgrade my current seagull license server?

    2. Which Bartender version should I purchase?

    Hello

I have an issue on BT 10.0 on Windows 10.

it happens when I double click on the RFID module to enter the properties window. The window appears but the options are not accessible(see below). Consequently I can't change my RFID parameters.

    Could you help please ?

Jscant: You need to have at least v10.1 SR4 in order to be fully Windows 10 compatible.

Does upgrading to v10.1 SR4 require new licensing? How much would it cost? Here at my company we currently use v10.0 SR4 and are upgrading all our systems to Windows 10. I would like to know what the needs are for upgrading prior to deploying these new machines.

Terrye: Going from v10.0 to v10.1 represents a major upgrade and therefore a paid for upgrade.  It should be noted though, that as of the time of writing, v10.1 is no longer available for upgrading to, as you can only upgrade to the current version which is currently BarTender 2016.
