Label With A Data Entry Form Follow

I have a label which uses a Data Enrty Form to allow the input of data, however when I try and print the label from Print Station nothing happens.

 

Can I not use labels with a Data Entry form in Print Station?

What Edition, Version and Build of BarTender is in use?

 

When you try to print a BarTender document which just contains a "Sample Text" object without any data entry form items, will it print from Print Station or will again nothing print? In other words, does Print Station only have problems to print labels which make use of the "Data entry form"?

 

What is configured in Print Stations Administrative Setup for the "Print Settings", "Show Print Dialog" or "Immediately Print"?

Version:- 10.0 SR3

Build:- 2867

 

Document with just 'Sample Test' prints OK.

 

'Show Print Dialog' is selected.

There are some bugs in this service release SR3 which, although not directly related to the issue you're mentioning, make it worth to upgrade to the latest service release for BarTender v10.0, which is SR4:

If you still get the same issue after the upgrade, please enable message and print job data "Text logging" in BarTender and let me know if you see any error message or unusual in these log files. Logging can be configured via the "Administer > Log Setup > Text File Log" dialog.

I have installed SR4.

 

Tried to print from Print Station and still nothing.

 

I opened Bartender and turned on Text Logging.

 

Went back to print station and tried printing again, still nothing and no files cretaed in the Log folders.

 

Printed from Bartender and it cretaed files in the Log folder.

 

Do you have any further suggestions?

There is a file called "Settings.config" under "C:\ProgramData\Seagull\Print Station". Close Print Station and BarTender, rename this file to .old and restart Print Station. Do you then still have the same issue? If yes, then attach the BarTender document using the "More Reply Options" button in your post reply.

Your document is using a "Document Password". You will need to get rid of this password (via "File > BarTender Document Password") if you're wishing to print the BT document from Print Station.

Removing the pssword did not work. So I removed the password and did a Save As, and the new document works.
