Reading Document (Hanging)
In BT Version 10.0 SR4
I have a situation where I have a BT Document that is set up to "Automatically Print Again". Users very often leave this document open for extended periods of time. Some of them have issues where they cancel out of the print wizard because they need a different document. When they attempt to select another document you see the preview of the selected label but the status gets hung up in "Reading Document .." and will never pull up the printer options. The only resolution I have found that fixes this is to restart Print Station on the local client.
Has anyone experienced this before?

What configuration are you using for "Document Caching" under Print Station's "Administrative Setup"? is the "Load Documents into Cache when Print Station starts" enabled? What about the "limit number of open documents to" setting?
Please define what you mean by "extended period of times"? Do you mean 5 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours... ?
Are you running on a Citrix / Terminal Services environment, or is this a normal Windows installation where different users log onto and make use of Print Station?
What Windows version and service pack is in use?
Do you see any recent dump files under "c:\ProgramData\Seagull\BarTender\Dump"? ("c:\ProgramData" is normally a hidden folder) on the PC where Print Station is installed?
Could you also attach a system information file by using the "More Reply Options" button when posting? This information file can be obtained from BarTender via the "Help > System Information"
If "Automatically Print Again" option is turned off, does this issue happen at all?

No one has waited longer than 2 minutes before completely restarting print station to solve their problem

Windows installation using Print Station (BT Security is not turned on)

Nope

I'm not comfortable divulging files with some network and user info on a public forum .
If "Automatically Print Again" option is turned off, does this issue happen at all?
Yes ... I thought it was related to the automatic print again option in the label but after asking other users it appears to happen ocasionally with no commonality is document being used or setup of those documents. Only that it happens for users after they close a label that they often use.
