Point In The Right Direction Would Help Follow

The guy before me that knew Bartender is long gone(I never got to meet him) and I'm currently working with a database to feed the necessary data into Bartender to print out labels. I'm not sure the exact process of it. We have some stored procedures that retrieve the necessary data but I don't know exactly how the results of that query are mapped to the label. I'm checking the clients existing Bartender setup but I don't see a database connection. I do see Named Data Sources but I'm unsure how it all maps out.

Either they set the data source type of the data source and/or object to be a "Database Field", assuming there is a document level DB connection, or they've named the data source and are setting the value of it from an external application.  Consult the BarTender Help system for a full reference on Automating BarTender via the various means available.  Here is a primer white paper on the latter solution, which is probably what's in use:
