Template Document Wont Open Under New Version Sr4 Without Error Follow

We have a template document that we have been using for the past week.  The originating BT version that created this template was sr3.

We upgraded several other PC's to sr4 and they were able to use the template without any issues.

 

THEN:

 

Today the template was edited by the sr3 version and saved.  Now only sr3 versions can open it.  sr4 versions of bartender will crash when they try to open it.

 

So the action was:

 

created in s3 version. (all s3 or s4 could use)

edited in s4 version. (all s3 or s4 could use)

edited in s3 version. (only s3 can use, can't open in s4 and any SDK's using the newer dll can't open as well)

 

has anyone had a similar issue?  is there a fix?  we are recreating the template in sr4.

Hmmm, not sure if I've seen this issue before although it is possible for documents to become corrupted.  Would you be able to share a faulty document with us to examine?
