Choosing Database Fields From Prompt Before Printing? Follow
Hi Guys,
I am currently using Bartender for making several different automated gs128 barcoces at the time - containing a different product in each label.
Some of the data is being pulled from an Excel database I made - item number, names and EAN codes.
My coworkers chooses which items by selecting them from the database in the print window - afterwards they enter in the rest of the needed data in the prompt (made from data entry form) that comes after the print window.
Can I somehow move this database field selection to the prompt instead?
Thank you.

I am looking to do the same. I saw the post where it could be done from an excel document that was used as a named data source but I would be interested in doing this using a database connection (pulling from excel or a SQL database). I've got a situation where I have a excel document that has a list of sandwiches that also have tied an ingredients field and UPC code. I would like to have a data entry prompt at print that would give a drop down list of all the sandwiches in the database plus a field for number of copies. Which ever the user selects to print then it would generate the right UPC code and ingredients field in the label.
You would have to setup a query prompt to bring the product up first then use a print-time data entry screen to fill in the rest of the information.
