Use the Seagull Driver Wizard application that is extracted with the rest of your driver installation files when you execute the download file.  Be sure to clear and print queues and close any applications that might be actively using the driver.

When I try and do that, it does show any driver installed, when I try and reinstall it goes really quickly (like nothing happened) and the driver doesn't actually install

Are the currently installed drivers Seagull drivers, or drivers from another vendor?  Check this via the "About" tab of the driver.  What steps do you take to remove the driver?  Note that the Seagull Driver Wizard is able to remove both Seagull and non-Seagull drivers if so directed.  What do you choose to do when attempting to remove?

    Hi Ian,

On this computer we had the seagull drivers installed previously, we are running Zebra printers on a network (TCP/IP).

A couple of days ago it stopped printing and I think someone tried to reinstall the printers

There doesn't seem to be any drivers installed, when we try and install the drivers the program says it has installed them but in fact it hasn't. Its like it can see all the files already there and skips them. The installation program runs very quickly (I would say too quickly)

I wonder if we can remove all the files it has installed allowing a fresh install ? If you can think of another way to fix it please let us know

    We use Win 8.1

    Ian

I suggest you get in contact with technical support for your region and have them help you out.  This might need a remote session to see what state you driver installation is in.

Normally running the DriverWizard to fully remove all Seagull drivers does the trick in terms of getting you back to a clean slate.

You can click to control panel and remove/uninstall the printer. Reinstall the printer again.

There are toll free no where you can resolve your issue. They are providing support 24/7 you can call on +1 888 505 3020.

I honestly doubt that the wizard removes anything but the printer instance!

At least a Seagull driver is instantly installed when USB printer is attached. So no chance of testing original drivers from Zebra. From a websearch seagull scientific seems to be non-malicious - and if so it's indeed a great service to freely support old Zebra printers. But the drivers is as hard to get rid of as a genuine virus?! And they definitely conflict with the original Zebra ones when trying new printers... (Never seen a device with multiple drivers from two different "suppliers")

I guess I need to find the actual drivers (or possibly .inf files if it's still relevant in win10) and remove them manually from the system. Guess someone looking at this thread has already found the necessary solution so the rest of us can save some time hacking?

(And if I'm right, I think Seagull Scientific probably need to work on peacefull coexistence with original Zebra drivers ;-)

I have never had an issue with the Seagull drivers, if anything it has been the Zebra ones that are the problem ones in my opinion. In a number of instances the options. like the rewind assembly etc. have randomly stopped worked or only work intermittently when using the ZDesigner ones but work correctly using the Seagull devices.

    Hello Anders,

If you use the Seagull Driver wizard then yes you can fully remove all trace of the driver from your system taking your Windows back to a clean driver state.  If you choose the advanced option when removing a driver you'll see exactly what components, files, registry entries etc that we remove as part of the process.  See the below video for more info:

    https://support.seagullscientific.com/hc/en-us/categories/200267887-Getting-Started#install-driver

Be sure to use the up to date version of the Seagull driver too, as over the last year or so we've moved to a more advanced generation of our driver technology.  And yes, we still continue to support all of the really old printer models.
