Copies Per Record - Web Front End Follow

Hello,

 

In our document we have specified to ask the user for desired number of copies for each record. However, when we test this via the web print server, we choose '2' for instance and it prints 2 copies of all records, not just the current one.

 

Is this a bug? How can we fix?

Hello HGP,

 

I'm sorry but I'm afraid that the BarTender Web Print Server currently doesn't support prompting on a per record basis. We do have a feature request for this feature so hopefully we will be able to add it in future releases.

That's unfortunate! We've just invested a fair bit of cash purchasing a new server, a Windows Server license, a label printer and BT Enterprise Automation software, only to find the primary intention of delivering services via the WPS is being thwarted by a lot of inadequacies of the software.

 

Well, fingers crossed the feature is implemented soon.

You could alternatively develop your own web based printing application (similar to BT-WPS, but with custom features) by making use of our .NET SDKs:

We also provide a simple web label print example with BarTender's installation. You will find this sample under the following Windows folder on your PC:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Seagull\BarTender Suite\SDK\Print Server SDK Samples\WebLabelPrint"
