Prevent Prompt Based On Record Data - Exp Field
I stumbled across a post from 11 years ago with the same issue I am having but the solutions for the issue are out dated.
I am currently using Bartender 2022 R8, Professional Addition and would like some help on the following, if this is even possible using the professional version.
I have two (2) labels which are identical in every aspect except one: Label A is for a product with an Expiration Date, Label B is for a product without an Expiration Date.
I have been able to adjust what prints on the label. An hourglass image and the expiration date, as input by the user, shows on Label A; these elements do not show on Label B. This is adjusted based on information in my database fields.
As the general aspects of these labels are the same, I would like to consolidate the labels into a single label template.
My situation: Currently, I prompt the user to input the expiration date of the product at the time of label printing.
My question: Is there a way to prevent the prompt (Data Entry Form) from appearing based on whether it is required?
I am willing to include vbScript in the solution.
(Note: Suppression is not working to prevent the prompt from appearing, as it still appears on the entry form to fill out, even though it is not appearing on the label)
Thank you in advance for your kind help,
- Nichole

The simplest way would probably be to add a 2nd Data Entry Form and set the FORM with the Expiration Date entry to be suppressed when it is not required using the Show When options
