I saw the release note of 2017.1 driver mentioned:

New Feature List

• Implemented "Detect Missing Label" feature for Zebra Printers.

How does it actually work?

  The "Detect Missing Label" feature for ZPL based Zebra printers is set in the printer driver under the Printer Properties->Tools tab->Configure menu->Printer Options

  This feature is intended to stop printing if the printer can't detect the gap or mark for the media stock indicating there is a missing label on the roll of media. It is intended to be used with either the Mark Sensor (reflective) or Gap sensor (transmissive).

  Good question Keith. Just been through all the settings of a couple of the new Zebra 2018.2 release drivers and cant see anything for this. I thought it could apply just to the Print Engines but couldn't see anything. Perhaps this links back to Printer Maestro but not sure.

  Have followed the post to see if we get a response.
