Zebra ZT230 driver for Windows 2000
Hi,
I have a Windows 2000 installation where I would like to use ZT230, but there doesnt exists any driver for the printer to Windows 2000.
Do any of you know I can use another driver or how this situation could be solved....
It is not an option to change OS, it must be Windows 2000

The ZT's weren't around when Win 2000 was in use and so you will need to use a different driver.
You could probably use a ZM400 or Z4M/Plus printer driver for a matching dpi printer as they use the same programming language but you may have to tweak the Start of Print / Label Top position and possibly the Label Home/column setting as the printing may start in a slightly different position in these units. A few test prints should reveal whether this is required.

Just a followup, how can I in reality use the driver, when Windows ask for a driver I just use (point to) the ZM400 driver?
Is there a difference if I use USB or Serial for printing? I will use serial...

It shouldn't make any difference which port you use, once the printer is installed, although I would stop the auto-detect of the printer and install it manually.
You will need to make sure you are installing compatible drivers too (see the Download>Drivers and the Drivers for Older Windows link under the Information section on the right hand side of the page).
If I were installing it I would unpack the driver.exe file and use the Add Printer option from Control Panel and stop the automatic option but use the Have Disk and browse to the upacked installer file and then choose the ZM400 (or whichever you are going to us). Once installed I would then test the connection via the Options>Action>Form Feed (maybe slightly different location in older driver builds - Tools screen? ) to get the label to dispense a blank label as the Form Feed command is the same for all ZPL devices.
I hope that helps
