    You will need to break your QR Code up to various elements or substrings using the New Data Source button ringed near the bottom of the image below.

    To just show the Serial Number the simplest way to achieve this is

    • click on the Human Readable in the column on the left and set this to None 
    • click on the serial number data source added above and then press the Change Named Data Source button (ringed on top right of the image below) and give this sub-string a name (I called it SerNo)
    • Once this is set, come out of the QR Code and add a new text field onto the label and again using the Change Named Data Source button, click on the name you entered above to link this text field with the serial number element of the QR

    Hopefully that should get you up and running

    thank you for your reply. I ave a problem, when I scan the QR code the output is one line "serialnumberdesription location date. I need to separate it as follows:

    Serial Number

    Description

    Location

    Date

    That is easily done:

    Either use the Transforms and add a Carriage Return Suffix tot he end of the fields or add a new sub-string in between each of the fields deleting the "Sample Text" and then press Enter to add a <CR> (Carriage Return) instead.
