ICE Printers
Currently in my place of work we use the automation version of Bartender. I'm looking at the capability of replacing our current clarisoft software with our existing Bartender set up for online printing at the point of packing.
Currently we use clarisoft to connect to and load labels to our continuous stand alone ICE printers; however we have the capability to connect these to a computer for label operations.
In the past i've used the SDK to build software for this kind of things but using TEC printers, is the process for using ICE printers the same as conventional printers if this is it at all possible?

As long as you have a Windows printer driver for them you should be okay to print from BarTender to them. I seem to think, however, that Clarisoft and the Windows driver use different IP addresses/ports and so you need to make sure you configure the drivers to talk to the printer on these rather than the Clarisoft port

Hi Stuart, thanks for posting at our Community.
To back up what Pete has mentioned, as long as the driver is a Windows driver that can be selected from the Windows environment, it should appear in the BarTender application as well. I highly suggest sending a test print job from the driver first before attempting to use it with BarTender.
Once you know for sure that it works through Windows, you should move on to test with BarTender. If you have issues from there, consider opening a case with our Technical Support Team, here:
Thanks again!
