Offset printer Follow

I have two Sato S84ex (609dpi) printers. An BT2019R3 integration watches for a btxml file to update the text fields, specify the btw file, and specify which printer to send the job. I have the text adjusted to the correct position on Printer B (left side of attached picture), but the text needs to move up about 0.5" to print in the correct location on Printer A (Right side of attached picture). I found two different places on the Sato's controller to adjust the offset, offset it in the print drivers, and physically moved the text location in the BTW file (I created a copy of the original BTW file that was intended to be used for both printers). While these can make the printer place the text in the correct position, they all move the position where the label stops, such that they will not peel onto the tamp head of the Label-Aire 3138-NV units the print engines are installed on. When I moved the text locations 0.5" up in the BTW file, I think the reason became apparent -- the text was being shifted beyond the margins of the label. Maybe I haven't found the correct configuration to offset yet. I have installed the latest Sato drivers provided by Bartender (2020.4), and the problem remains. How do I offset the text on printer A so both print in the same location? It isn't necessary, but if possible, I'd prefer to use the same BTW file for both. I'm only at the end customer's site today and tomorrow, so a fast response is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had something similar with a different model of Sato but this was the start of print position on the left/inner edge of the label and was something physical in the printer rather than software/driver settings.

I would suggest trying to adjust the offset in the printer driver itself in Control Panel rather than in BarTender. I think you may need to tweak the Horizontal offset as shown here:

I tried this, but after adjusting this setting, the label no longer stops at the edge of the printer. I moved the test about 0.5", and not the printer stops with the label about 0.5" from where it should stop. I think that because this moves the print location off the label, the printer continues moving beyond the margins of the label.

each pair of printers prints 4 different label types, with text in different positions. since the label stops at a different position for each, depending on how far the offset makes the text move outside the margin. I can't just make the printer backup a fixed distance. This will be especially confusing for the end customer in the future if they need to make a change.

I'm feeling dumb. I found a setting that was different in the other printer that is part of the pair. Auto Backfeed was set to 2mm and was causing the printer to print text in the wrong position. When I set it to "default", the text appeared exactlly where it should. Solved
