Leftover field data
I am currently in the middle of creating an in-house application that uses the Bartender .NET SDK. During this time, our current method of printing using Print Station is still being used.
The issue I am having is that when a user prints a template using Print Station that contains a editable field (They enter a Work Order during the printing process that then prints on the label), when they go to use the new software to compare the labels, the Work Order number from the Print Station label is still being printed on the new label. Restarting the PC does not fix it. The only way to get it to disappear is to restart the printer. I am using the Bartender drivers. This happens on both of our SATO and Zebra printers. Any suggestions on how to clear out this data? The templates are completely different between the two methods and there are no duplicate named data sources.

Hello Erik, thanks for your post. It's important to note that when you use Print Station, the label is saved after every print job. You can open the label in BarTender Designer and you'll see the latest Work Order number you've used in Print Station. You could clear it from Designer, save the label, and attempt to reprint from your app again.
This certainly sounds like you could use some help from Technical Support - I've created a ticket on your behalf (please check your email). Thank you for posting!

So I think I fixed it. It was only happening on our Sato CL6NX (305dpi) printer. The Zebra and printing to PDF did not have the issue.
I updated the SATO driver from 2020.4 to 2021.2 and that seems to have fixed it with the few tests I did.
I did create a new template with a data entry field and did not have the issue. The current Print Station templates were converted to 2021 from 2016 R3 Bartender, so I wonder if there was something there too.
