    Hi Carol,

    Thank you for reaching us in our Community Forums.

    This issue might be caused by a great number of issues, the type of error you are getting might be caused due to a Windows update while using an older service release of your BarTender installation.

    We would appreciate it if you could tell us what Windows operating system you are using and what BarTender Service Release are you currently on.

    You can find your Service Release information by opening BarTender Designer and navigating to the "Help > About" tab; and our latest BarTender Service Releases here.

    If you are using an outdated BarTender Service Release, we strongly recommend you upgrade it to the latest revision, as it is very likely updating will solve the issue. You can find our latest BarTender Service Releases here.

    Also, since this is a Windows issue, it might be worth researching possible solutions on the Internet, as there are many great suggestions that could aid you.
