We are having issues with moving to a new Print Server, installing printers and then getting a Printer License exceeded error message. The printers are the same with the same static IP addresses but the Location that shows in Admin Console is new because it is displays the new server thus in contention with the licenses. See screenshot.
This issue is for versions 2019 and 2021.
Here is the use case:
Installed shared printers with static IP addresses on Server1.
Built new PrintServer2 and installed the same printers using the IP address as the HostName and Port.
The BarTender license error is triggered because Location is different.
1. How can this be fixed?
2. Is there a configuration best practice that will avoid this from the initial setup and install of BarTender and the Printers?
