RFID ecoding questions - Permalock and TID
We are using Bar Tender 2021, Sato CL4NX Plus printers. We are required by our customers to permalock our RFID labels. I see under RFID options there are access control settings for the EPC memory but permalock is not an option (only Open and Lock). How would we configure this to permalock the EPC memory bank when encoded?
We would also like to look into using the inlay PID for the EPC serial number - does Bar Tender support this? A saw several posts from years ago where it did not on those versions.
Thanks, Tim

Got with a third party reseller that handles encoding for Walmart. They gave me the proper settings to use for the CL4NX+ printer. Going to mange the serialization a different way.

Hi Tim,
I'm tackling a similar problem with permalocking tags for products intended for Walmart.
Would you be able to either share the solution that you found or share contact information for the reseller you worked with?
Best Regards,
Nate

Here are the settings we are using - I got these from Atlas RFID. WM has accepted tags encoded this way.
On the Security tab under the RFID Encoder -
Access Control
EPC/UII Block is set to Lock
User block set to Open
TID is defaulted to Lock Permanently
Access Password and Kill Password set to Open.
Access Password
New Password set to Constant:0 -
It varies by Chip. Ucode 9 is different than M730 or mR6 or Ucode8. I am trying ot get there with a ZT410 on a Ucode 9, not working.
