    Thanks Xabier. Unfortunately indeed! Most REST based services are phasing out Basic Authentication due to security concerns. I do hope that Seagull Scientific will take API security more seriously and others vote to do so.

    Thanks!

    I too believe that this should be implemented!

    So I do.

    It is no more possible to integrate with any Saas Microsoft solution without Modern Authentication Oauth2.

    This should be delivered in your next release.

    I'm currently in front of a wall with Bartender-Microsoft integration not possible, and I have to switch to other solutions.

    I wondered if there is any change in this now that there is a Bartender Cloud option. I can't imagine a SaaS service that doesn't use Token Authentication.

    @Taylor,

    Not changed yet, I'm too short in time rigth now.

    I'm checking a workaround by using e-mail printing available with Microsoft Business Central.

    I'm checking if my ETL can monitor and print from a mailbox. Bartender integration can't do it beacuse Modern Authentication is required for POP interface.

    My fallback will be the Microsoft Azur Print server, but I would like to avoid adding another (expensive) piece of Software.

    @Mark,

    it would make sense but doesn't seems to be documented. I've also the impression that the direct integration between Microsoft Business Central and Bartender Cloud is on hold or facing hurdles.

    Hello Peter,

    Yes, that is what I am referring to except for on-prem environments. In a Zero Trust environment, we cannot assume that the local network is safe. Ask Google. EP000: Operation Aurora | HACKING GOOGLE - YouTube

    Any word on this Xabier Clemente?

    Leaving on-prem printing solutions unsecured was bad news for PaperCut earlier this year (Malicious Actors Exploit CVE-2023-27350 in PaperCut MF and NG | CISA) and I'd hate to see that happening to Seagull customers. Printing is so pervasive and that makes it a juicy target.
