Front and back labels
I would like to print two different labels on the same roll. Is there a possibility to do this if:
- both labels are the same size
- labels are of different size
Thanks.

I take you mean printing them as a pair together in which case
- Same Size label - Yes, create the second label as an additional template of the 1st so that way they would print together
- Different sizes - More problematic. You could possibly get your label manufacturer to produce a cutter to do this but there could be issues with printing.
One label after the other - The printer would probably struggle with the label registration and may not print with the correct starting position and so this is probably not possible physically. Dependent on your version of BarTender, then there is a way BarTender could be set to achieve this but there would be no point if your printer cannot handle this,
Labels side by side on the roll - This would work but you would need a printer wide enough to handle the labels. In BarTender you would need to design the labels as if they are the same label (ie full width) and would probably need the the longest label to be on the inside edge of the roll for the sensor to pick up on the gap/mark correctly

Thank you very much Peter. It’s been a while since I started using BarTender but never “played” with templates. This works great for same size labels. Is it possible to make “special rules” for templates. For example: I would made a second template that would be printed only at the end of job. Any idea?
Different size of labels: I have met these few times. They are used mostly for bottles.

If you go into the Page Setup and templates then you could either use the conditional printing (ringed) to setup when the 2nd template prints or else drag it to make it an end of job template for example.
For the first option you may need to setup some kind of trigger for this to happen, say with a counter field on template 1 so that when it reaches X, template 2 prints for example, and so for your setup probably the end of job template would be better suited

Thank you again Peter. I was using my free BarTender Version where non of this is possible. Then I checked on the “payed” version and so all these possibilities.
