Have you used those labels before on the printer?

The sensor for the GK420 is fixed close to the centre of the print width and so the gap between the labels needs to pass over the sensor but looking at the labels that is not the case for your device and so the device is not calibrating correctly. When calibrated, when you press the feed button, it will dispense a full label and stop at the next interlabel gap but that is not happening.

Gotcha. About 3/4ths of the label is transparent so thats probably whats doing it. I did manage to get it to a point where it was almost perfect but kept printing too soon and it was gradually shifting the print off the label if i printed multiple times. I noticed that the feed button was 'under-feeding' too. I don't think my printer allows me to shift the dispenser over so i don't think i can use this particular style with it :(

Yes, you will need to use a printer where the sensor position can be so it will pick up on the gap or else have a black registration mark added to back of the labels and use the Marl/Reflective sensor instead
