Printing cable/flag labels - template design
Hi,
We try to use Bartender software with TSC TX610 label printer.
Our goal is to print "cable" (flag) labels on that environment but we can't figure out how to get this type of label in software.
I attached photos of label so you can see what we are talk about.
The issue is when we put that type of label in printer we got "paper jam" error immediately, but if we put standard square label, everything work fine. So obvious problem is label shape. Brady is label manufacture, but inside Bartender, we couldn't find that type of label, so we need help with design on that "flag" shape. Gap on botom-right side made us issue.
Is there any predefined template similar to this,
or how to get that design in Bartender ?
Or, does anybody know some workaround for that kind of problem.
Label dimension are:
label width: 85mm
label height: 20 mm
dimension where we need to write:
width: 35mm
height : 20mm
Regards
B.

It sounds like the issue is the label sensor is not seeing the gap between the labels. I have not worked with that type of printer but from looking at images of it it looks like the senor is centrally mounted and in a fixed position and unless you can reroll the labels on to a wider core and effectively then move the gap to the middle of the roll so that it will pass over the sensor then those labels are probably not compatible.

Those labels have a notch on one side; the sensor needs to be over that notch. If the gap sensor on that printer is in a fixed position then it won't work. There are other TSC printers (like their TTP series) that I know for a fact have adjustable gap sensors.
With regards to the design within BarTender, you simply design a rectangle with a length that matches the label's "repeat" (distance from notch-to-notch). You will have to move your design elements around until they print where you want.
