HTTP Error 502.5 while trying to access Admin portal
I tired to configure the service and the IIS as explained in this guide: https://support.seagullscientific.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500011256522-Troubleshooting-Guide-BarTender-Print-Portal?version=2021+and+later
Using a local account with Administrative rights on the PC on which the software is installed, but when I try to enter Print Portal, I get the HTTP Error 502.5.
Could anyone please help me to solve the issue?
Thank you!

Hello Cristian,
Thank you for reaching us via our Community Forums. Usually, HTTP error 502.5 can be resolved by setting an account with sufficient privileges as indicated in our article Troubleshooting guides: BarTender Print Portal, since you already went through the article, here are a few troubleshooting steps we can try:- Double-check Configuration Steps: Ensure that you've followed all the steps in the guide accurately. It's easy to overlook a small detail, and verifying your setup against the guide can help identify any potential errors.
- Check Dependencies: Make sure you have all the required software components and dependencies installed on your system. These might include specific versions of .NET Framework, runtime libraries, and other prerequisites.
- Permissions: While you've mentioned using a local account with Administrative rights, ensure that this account has the necessary permissions to access and modify the required files, folders, and configurations. Sometimes, issues arise due to inadequate permissions.
- Service Status: Check if the BarTender Print Portal service is running. If it's not running, start the service and then try accessing the Print Portal again.
- IIS Configuration: Review your IIS settings, especially the application pool associated with the Print Portal. Make sure it's configured correctly and pointing to the right files.
- Event Logs: Check the Windows Event Viewer for any related error messages. This can provide more specific information about what's causing the error.
- Firewall and Antivirus: Sometimes, security software can block necessary connections. Ensure that your firewall and antivirus settings are not interfering with the Print Portal.
- Update and Patch: Make sure your BarTender software, Windows, and related components are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates. You can find our latest BarTender versions here.
I hope some of these steps do the trick.
