Are you using a barcode font to create the supposedly EAN-13 images as the code is not correct (wrong Check Digit) and the pattern looks wrong?

Thank you for reacting to my question.

I just set a few vertical lines and random numbers into the text of my question to show what I mean wen I say "all the numbers are in the left half".

To show you one of the affected barcodes, I would have to print and then scan it. I'm at work and don't have the time to do this. A screenshot wouldn't show the problem, as the code looks normal on the screen.

I would check these settings as that could be the issue:

    Hi,

first, I want to show you the problem with real pictures:

Is the 3rd setting "Barcodes controlled by the printer and text controlled by BarTender" the right one?

This is the setting I use for the barcodes, and it has worked for years.

And most importantly: Thank you for your patience and your helpfulness!

You could try the other settings and see if the others work.

Have you ever downloaded a font to the printer? If so and that was in RAM or the printer has been reset to factory then that could have been deleted from it. The driver, and so BarTender , will still think it is there and will send the command to the printer to print it but as it is not present it will use a default font and size and so that could be part of the problem.

You could also try changing the font being used for the Human Readable and see what that does

No, we didn't download fonts to the printer. (To be honest, I wouldn't even know how to do that.)

I'll try the other settings later, but I sincerely hope that the "Barcodes and human readable text controlled by the printer" setting isnt't the one that does the trick, as our customers specify the fonts they want on their labels, including the barcode fonts.

    Thanks again!

    Update:

Naturally, the "Barcodes and human readable text controlled by the printer" setting is the setting that shows the numbers spread out evenly, as it should be.

For this particular customer's labels, the outcome is fine, as the printer controlled numbers are almost identical to this customer's specifications. Now I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that other customers' barcodes don't start acting up, too.

Thanks again for your help and your patience!
