Hi,
I've installed Bartender V9.4 SR3 on a Windows 2003 SP2 Server and SQL Server 2005.
The System Database Setup Wizard created the new Database instance in the existing Database - WinCC -.
But failed during the creation of the Database Tables with the Error message:

"Creating BarTender database tables...
Failed to execute sql command. Line: 269 - 278 SELECT failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: 'ANSI_PADDING'. Verify that SET options are correct for use with indexed views and/or indexes on computed columns and/or query notifications and/or xml data type methods.
Setup failed."

And the Bartender System Database Setup shows still Bar Tender as the Name of the SQL database and not WinCC.

How we can solve this problem?

Thank You

Hello,

The "BarTender System Database Setup" wizard is the one which needs to create the "BarTender" database on your SQL Server instance. From your post it seems like you're wishing the "BarTender System Database Setup" wizard to log print job data to a different database called "WinCC", which was not created by this wizard.

Is this correct? If yes, this is not supported. The database needs to be created by our wizard.

It is not supported to create the Bartender Database Instance in a existing SQL Database? How we can integrate this in to our Existing System which is relaying on the SQL Database WinCC?

So "WinCC" is a database server (or system server) containing databases, correct?

Which type of credentials are you using, Windows or SQL Server credentials. Does the WinCC system server allows for "SQL Server and Windows authentication mode"? Does the user you specify under "BarTender System Database Setup" have enough permissions to create tables / databases on the SQL Server database? As a test, you could try creating an SQL Server account which has "sysadmin" server role and use this account instead for creating the BarTender system database. Will it still fail?

On the other hand, please let me know if any of the below conditions is true:

* Are some of the database instances on "WinCC" offline?
* Does the computer name where the SQL Server database resides or any of the existing "WinCC" databases contain a dash "-" as part of their name?
