Activating Via License Server Seguir

Hello all,

i have a license server that host the bartender software.

when i try to install the software on a machine, at the end of the installation i dont have at the administrator tab not option to connect the license from the server.

 

can anyone help?

You need to first activate the BarTender client via the "Help>Activate this software" menu item and use your PKC when prompted.  Once done the option becomes available via the "Administer>Licensing Setup" menu item.

I have the Enterprise version with 20 printer licenses and unlimited users.  Now I am trying to install the client on the unlimited users PC's so they can access the SLS.  But can't get to the Licensing Setup dialog box to set the SLS server name in it. Your instructions above show how to Activate this software.  I'm trying to access the SLS that has already been activated.  If I activate the client, doesn't that use up one of the activation instances of the license key?  Or as least that is implied but the popup box that appears when you try activation.  This would mean I would need to activate each instance of the client using up more than three activation's of the license.  Meaning I would have to request 3 more activation's after activating every third client.

 

Shouldn't the Administer menu include the Licensing Setup so that I can access the dialog box to set the SLS server name without having to use activate?  Then I could install the client multiple times without having to request more activations.  That is how it used to work on the older version of BarTender so I could install multiple instances of the client all accessing the SLS without using activation.
