Librarian - Published Documents
Hi,
I am looking for a mechanism to tightly control the version of a document that a user can print. I was told that the Librarian workflow would do this for me, allowing users only to print published documents. What I need is for any print request for a particular document to print the last published version of that document and ignore any more recent unpublished versions where development is underway. What actually happens though is that print request errors out with a Permission Denied - Unpublished Document error for any files where modificiations are being made. THis will not work for us. What can I do to pick up the last published version?
I've attached a file to try and clarify my requirements.
Thanks
Simon

I think that we currently do not support this feature, so I've entered it as a feature request item in our system (so that it may be implemented in a future version / release of BarTender).

On looking a bit more at this issue, I've found a BarTender message which can be configured to do what you want. Start BarTender and access the "Administer > Application Message Setup" dialog.
Locate the 1312 message and configure the default response to be "Open Published Revision". Disable as well the "Dialog (Interactive Use Only)" checkbox so that BarTender won't show this warning message on screen.
Does this help?
