    Tim,

If it is the same word(s) each time that need to adjust the standard/bold font then it is worth checking out the White Paper on printing EU Allergen labels:

    http://www.seagullscientific.com/media/101587/eu-allergen-labeling-201511.pdf

Also depending on your version of BarTender there maybe a sample label called "EU FIC Allergen Label.btw" that shows the Allergen font change in action which you may find useful.

    Hello Pete,

Thank you for your fast answer. I've read the pdf about the allergen Labels but I don't know how to use these codes for myself.

I want to explain my problem a little bit better. Also because it changed a bit in the last 24 hours.

I've attached an example of my labels.

As you can see there a different textboxes labelled with Text 1 to Text 41. I want to change the font of the textboxes with even numbers if the respective textbox with an odd number is empty.

(Text 2 = bold if Text 3 = empty; Text 4 = bold if Text 5 = empty; and so on)

    Regards Tim

I take it Text 2 is regular if Text 3 isnt empty etc.?

In which case couldn't  you use suppression instead?  You could make Text 2 contain 2 sub-strings both with different fonts, the first would be the regular font that appears if Text 3 contains data whilst the second string would be Bold that only appears if 3 is empty. Sample attached

Ok I am able now to use suppression to change between two different sub-strings. (Very useful so far  :) Thank you)

But how do I change the font into bold without changing it for both substrings ?

If you go into the properties of the text string and choose the Font option there is a button "Font by Data Source" which will allow you to to do this.
