Moving License Server To Another Machine

We just purchased a new label printer and bartender 10 software.  The first computer I set up was my laptop - maybe it defaulted to the license server because it was first, or maybe I assigned it during the original setup - not sure.

 

Anyway, there are times that my laptop is not in the building and I assume this will cause an issue when the other desktop users try to print.

 

Can I re-assign the license server to one of the other desktop work stations?  If so, how would I do it?

  1. Open up License server on your laptop.

  2. Go to Help --> Activation wizard

  3. Deactivate BT on your laptop

  4. Install and activate BT on some server on the network (make sure License server is selected to be installed).

   

  That should do it.

   

  You can reinstall BT on your laptop afterwards if you want (just don't install License server part of it)

  Hi,

   

  We originally bought 10 licences for our LIMS product while we were in the development stage. We have since moved on to a User Acceptance Testing (UAT)phase.

  I ordered 10 more licences, but I put (wrongly, I think) the new software on the UAT box looking at the test box SLS and it seems that we still have only ten licences.

   

  We are nearing the Production phase of the project, can you advise how I might be able to rectify this For our Production environment we will probably need an addtional 20 licences as well.
