How To Tell Bt2016 Licenseserver To Protocol To A Remote System-Db?
I just wonder, how to configure License-Server to write the logs to remote System-Database?
I cannot find an configuration option for that.

If it's over the LAN then you should be fine, but we don't really support this over a WAN. You'd need to have a BTSDB on each LAN and then implement a sync between the SQL Servers. Note that we are aware of this limitation and aim at addressing it in future releases.

Thx for your reply, Ian. Its on LAN, not WAN.
But how to configure it? I only see an option to log to a textfile, but no option to log to a System-DB?
Or do I have to install also other components of BT Suite in addition to Lisence-Server (on the License-Server machine)?
Or is something wrong with my License-server installation? (Because I also miss the option to add or remove printers like in BT9.2 license server?)

Which edition are you running? If the Automation edition then you're limited to only logging to a BTSDB on the same PC in any case. Is the BarTender System service installed on the PC as this is needed to connect to the BTSDB, or did you only install License Server on the PC in question?

Its Enterprise Automation Edition. I did only the install of the License-Server on this machine. With which additional components I'll get the Bartender System Service installed?

I think you'll need to install the BarTender and Administration Console components.

Ok, thanks! I will try now.
Could you please answer just another question: In BT2016 License Server why there are no option to add or remove printers like in BT 9.2?
So there is no option to define the printers which can use the available printer licenses...Or should I open a new topic for that?

As it happens we made changes to printer licensing from BarTender v9.30 onwards. Inplace of removing printers we offer an automatic 30 day grace period of exceeding the number of allowed printers in your license. The idea being that no intervention is needed at all for licensing issues. The below white paper give you more details:

On the last question, use a printer so that it appears in the list, and then tick its checkbox in order to keep it as an always available printer.
