Alignment Issue Seguir

I'm having problems aligning a vertical line when printing via Bartender, the two attached images show the design, and printed version.

I'm using the Seagull driver for the printer, and I've manually set the template size to match the label dimensions.

The label dimensions are also correctly set in the printer driver settings.

Are there any other settings I should be looking at?

Thanks

John

Hi Joley,

I would extend the line further down passed the bottom of the label, it's completely okay for it to hang off a little bit. But also what you will want to try is rasterizing the lines, this allows them to be sent to the printer as an "image". To do this go to File->Print, at the top you will see a tab called "Object Print Method", click this tab and look for "Lines:", drop the menu down and select "Raster" and try printing again.

If this does not work, can you tell me what printer you're using? Or if the "Lines" option is grayed out it means you may be using a printer or driver that doesn't allow deviation from the default settings.

Thank you

Hi Levi,

I've tried extending the line, and changing the lines option to Raster Graphics with no success.

I'm using a Zebra GT800 EPL, with the Seagull driver for the same model.

Thanks

John

Okay. Can you try going to that same tab and change everything to "Raster". And then on the "Performance" tab, can you please uncheck "Allow Static Objects", "Allow Serialization", "Allow Variable Data Optimization" and try printing again.

Also if you take a ruler to your label, what are the exact dimensions that you measure?

I've made those changes without any luck.

The label is 35mm x 22mm, I've manually set this as the template size in Page Setup.

Thanks

John

Can you go to View->View tab and click the button at the bottom that says "Show Unprintable Region", click Ok. Does the box around your label impede on the actual design area at all? If so can you screen shot it and post it here.

Also is that measurement of the label itself, or the full stock included? Meaning the backing of the label that it resides on? Also do not include gaps in the measurements in-between each label.

The box doesn't impede the design area, I've attached a screenshot.

That is the measurement of the label itself, the full stock is an extra 2mm wide on each side.

There is a 3mm gap between each label.

Thanks

Okay, and just for confirmation that 3mm gap is not included in the measure that you have inserted into BarTender? If the gap is included please remove it from the measurement. On the "Stock" tab you need to insert the full measurement of the stock itself, minus the gap from the height.

If all of that is correct, you may want to check to make sure the printer is calibrated, and if that doesn't solve the issue you will want to try defaulting the printer back to factory defaults. Typically you can find these options for newer printers in the driver, but for older printers you will need to refer to the printers manual, or research it online. To see if the driver has the ability to do it, open your label go to File->Print->Printer Properties->Tools->Action drop down, you should see Calibrate printer, and also Reset to factory defaults.
