BT automation 2016

Is that passable to set up bartender as a weighting and labeling station?

With

Level one labels for box

Level two label for pallet

Level there for whole batch

Automatic summing for weight and quantity. box quantity and pallet quantity.

So fully functional industrial  labeling station.

Yes it's possible.  Use a serial/network socket integration to listen for weigh scale events, parse out the weigh data you want, then execute the actions to print labels.  Any calculations could be done in the integration or in the BarTender document using VB script.

Does anyone have an example script and label that they could send me.... I am new to this and need to get a weight from a scale. when the Print button is pushed on the scale.   It would send   XXXX^kg^G   CRLF..... I really would appreciate this... I am needing help because I am not a programmer.

Thank you for all you do.

Hi Bob,

Have you checked out the Scale Input option on then Data Entry Form to see if the model you are looking for is there?

Unfortunately, the scale was not supported. CardinalDetecto is a common scale in the Meat packing business.  We created a work around for this.  It was:  create a virtual serial port with a USB to serial converter with port retention.  Then we loaded  Com port Key board wedge software  that allowed me to parse the incoming string... Then put it into the awaiting text input field and added a tab and carriage return.  We were using a mini computer BLock and a touch screen which  Bartender works well with.. Just wish they (BT support ) understood serial com ports better.  In all it was quite the learning experience for them and us.
