If you're printing on continuous label stock (no gaps, no black mark on the backing layer), you need to set the printer gap / mark sensor off. You can set this directly in the printer and via the printer driver properties, but also make sure that when printing a BarTender document (.btw), that you access the "File > Print" dialog, click on "Document Properties...", select the "Stock" tab and now set the "Media Type" to be "Continuous". As the "Print Method" choose "Thermal Transfer" if your printer is equipped with a ribbon, and use "Direct Thermal" if you print direct thermal labels which do not require ribbon.

Also, under the "File > Page Setup" dialog make sure that the page and label dimensions are being properly set.

With regards to the print job order, do you mean that when hitting the "Print" button the database records are not being print in sequence 1,2,3,4....? Make sure that under the "File > Print" dialog the "Selected Records" selection is set to "All" if you wish to print all records from your database. Otherwise, verify if you've setup a Query Prompt on your database (do this via the "File > Database Connection Setup" dialog and now select the "Query" tab on the right node after selecting the database on the left node).

Made the cahnges you mentioned abve but my starting point of the print job is not at the edge of the labels

If it was to start at the edge it would be perfect.

    what am i missing

Go to "File > Print" dialog, now click on "Document Properties..." button. Choose the "General" tab, press "Advanced Options", now the "Printing Position" tab and modify the Position Adjustment (e.g. Vertical Offset).

    Will this help?

I nopw have it printing out correctly when it first starts printing.

As the job prints it gfets off vertically ever so slightly.

I am not sure if this has anything to do with or not.

The actual stock height is 1.375 (1 3/8")

When enetering this height for the stock it is rounding it to 1.38

The template is set to 1.375 since this is the actual size

You can always set the measurement unit to mm if you want it to be more accurate. You can set this in the driver via the "Tools > Driver Options" dialog and in BarTender via the "View > View Options > Regional Settings".

Also, for labels with gaps, make sure that you set the label height = page height, so 1.375 which is the physical height of the label without counting the gap.

If you still have issues, perhaps attach your BT document for us to examine.

    Okay

I am going ot back up a second here.

I am chanign my label type from one that is a adhesive label with a 1/8 inch gap

The new stock is  card stock tag that I was told by my zebra printer tech person have a gap. It is a contrinuous run with a preferation.

Do you think the zebra printer would consider the preferation a gap that the sensor would pick up?

Maybe I can look into the gap again and avoid the issue I am having witht the continous run.

I replied to the email notification that I got with the BT file attached becuase I can't seem to figure out how to attach in this form.

I di not fully unterstand your latest comment. It would be better if you contact technical support directly with your problem. Include your product key code, a screenshot of the "Help > About" dialog from BarTender, the BarTender document, the exact media you're using and a scan of the printed labels for us to examine. You'll find the contact details below:
