How To Print Double Quotes?
I have a variable which contains measurement. I'm having trouble when the variable contains the inch (") sign.
For example,
variable value = 3" x 4 yd... label prints 3"" x 4 yd
how should i do this?

From which source comes the value for this variable? Are you connecting to a database text file, which uses "quotes and commas" for the delimitation type? Are you assigning this value via a .NET SDK application? Via Commander perhaps? Please give further details.

i'm am connecting to a database text file which is produced by our main system. it is a csv file actually.
one of the field is a description of the item which contains the dimension of the item.
so when the description field contains the inch description, the double quotes is printed twice.
the desription field is assigned to one field in the bartender template, currently without any vb script.[attachment=566:double quotes.jpg]

Could you attach the .csv and BarTender document (.btw) by clicking on "More Reply Options"? Do you get this problem no matter to which printer you print to? I'm not able to reproduce this behaviour you're getting...

Hi, here's the sample files.
Basically, just by previewing, the double double quotes can already be seen so no matter which printer I usse, the same thing happens.

I'm not able to reproduce this problem you're getting.
Can you try to create (as a test) a new BarTender document, connect to the database "using Text Database" connection, then place a text object on the label which reads from the database field in question and print? Will you then still have the same issue?
If not, then you might need to recreate your database connection in the existing BarTender document, or recreate your BT document and database connection from scratch.

I am having the same problem - I don't see a solution - the data comes from our ERP system and has a double quote in it ...
Here is the .dat file contents:
NumLabels|PrinterName|LabelName|Item|Description|Serial|Lot|Description2|Description3
2|AirTrack DP-1|APIItemLabel.btw|4860-24E|MICRO EAR FCP 3-1/2",ROUND CUP,|||ANGLE UP|Note the 3-1/2" in the Description field
The Description field prints out on the actual label:
"MICRO EAR FCP 3-1/2"",ROUND CUP,"
All 4 double quotes showing on the label when I only wanted 1
Was there a solution for this?

Have you got some conversion going on to convert the | delimination to a " ?
Just using your file content as shown above (with BarTender 2019 R6) with the Custom | deliminator, then I cannot replicate you issue

Bumping because this is an issue for myself as well as changing my double spaces to single spaces, 2022, R6, 11.3/206587 (64-bit)
