Bt-wps On Windows 2008r2 Blank Webpage
I installed bt-wps on a windows 2008R2SP1 server, and i am trying to get it to run. It looks like everything is installed correctly, but all i get is a white page in my browser.
I am running the demo right now (9.4 SR3) and hope to get it to run so we can test it and run it as our main production labeling software. I already have the full bartender suite running on the server and like what i am seeing, and i would like to get this to work to.

Hi, Ben:
Do you see any warning message or error message on the white page? Can you share with us
1)Your Web Print Server version, IIS version, ASP.net version
2)Do you get the same white page from the server side or client side(client side operating system, browser type?)? What URL you type in?
3)Bartender Help-> About not expired
If you get security or permission issue, you can check
1.Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Server Manager.
2.In the navigation pane, expand Roles, right-click Web Server (IIS), and then click Add Role Services.
3.In the Select Role Services pane, scroll down to IIS.
4.In the Security area, click to select the following check boxes:
Basic Authentication
Digest Authentication
Windows Authentication
5.In the Performance area, click to select the following check boxes:
Static Compression
Dynamic Compression
6.In the Select Role Services pane, click Next, and then click Install in the Confirm Installations Selections pane.
7.Click Close to exit the Add Role Services wizard.

1)9.4 SR3, Server 2008 R2 SP1, IIS 7, ASP.NET v2.0.50727
2)localhost/BT-WPS, the link fom the start menu that bartender provides
3)Bartender is not expired, 24 trail days remaining
I added the roles you mentioned and completely rebooted the server. It didn't help.
The source is showing me nothing. So nothing is generated by asp.net/IIS.0 -

BarTender Web Print Server is 32bit Web application, so on 2008R2 you need to Enable running 32 bit application on application pool.
like below (3rd party site)
support.softartisans.com/kbview.aspx?ID=1274
Also make sure your IIS setup properly - try to access
http://localhost
To check you're able to see welcome page of IIS.
Also check you can publish simple ASP.net web app (made by Visual web developer or something) or simple html page at least.0 -

Ok. the 32-bit mode is already set. Seems like the installer already does that.
I tested the link localhost, and... it showed me the BT-WPS page! But.. no pictures and no css scheme. locahost/BT-WPS still shows blank.
Is there some debugging i can turn on? It looks like the installer is sort of double installing the webserver. Very strange. See this picture.

Is this right?
(could you turn on the link option, I cannot use it.)0 -

Yes, that directory tree looks strange.
Try uninstall Web Print Server from Programs, remove web application if still exists, remove doubtful files in website folder (wwwroot?) if exists, then install BT-WPS 9.4SR3 again.0 -

We bought the Automation edition, and we are using print station for the computers in the factory. I will not try to get this working anymore.
But for your information, i installed it a couple of times, and cleaned everything as good as i could, but all did not help.0
