Activation Of License Server - Urgent
Hi,
My company as changed the server which as the license server installed from a phisicall server to a virtual server.
I've deactivated the license using already the virtual server, and tried to activate it again, but it gives me this message error:
- Activation denied. Your allocated number of activations has been exhausted. Activation will now only be allowed on the computer where you last successfully activated this software.
Can anyone please help me? Tomorrow is work day and without license server working we will have many problems

You need to power up the old physical box and deactivate the License server there. After that is done you will be able to activate it on the Virtual one.
I had the same problem. If you no longer have the physical box or it has been wiped I'm sure a call to BarTender support would be able to sort you out properly.

Have you moved the software multiple times? This may be bumping against the soft limit of 3 activations. If that is the case, give your area's Seagull office a call and explain the situation to the sales department. That is the only way to resolve the license error.

My company just upgrade Bartender version 10.1 from 40 printers to 125 printers. We got instructions to deactivate the license server on the computer and then activate 125 printer license with new product key code first and then enter old product key code to upgrade. However when I do that I get below error
Activation denied. Your previous PKC (16 digits) is still activated. You must first deactivate your previous PKC before activation will be allowed. Use the Activation wizard on the computer where your PKC was last activated to deactivate it.
But we never activated in any other computers. So I planned to just enter the PKC with 40 printers. Now even that does not work. It says
Activation denied. This PKC is still activated on another computer. You must first deactivate on that computer before you can activate on this one. Use the activation wizard on the other computer in order to deactivate it.
My company nor I do not recollect activating on any other computer. Even if somebody accidently installed license server on any other system, we cannot find it or even know if it still exists.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
