Seagull License Server Names Printer Differently In Windows 8.1
Greetings
I have a 20 license server. With our companies transition to Windows 8.1 Pro in a Microsoft Domain environment I have a problem.
My Windows XP Pro and Windows 7 Pro workstations create a differently named printer verses My Windows 8.1 Pro workstations.
This results in the Seagull License Server assigning two licenses for one printer. I am in a very bad situation due to running out of licenses.
Seagull License Server names the printer from Windows XP and Windows 7 as
\\server_name\printer_share_name
the same printers from a Windows 8.1 Pro workstation are named the following
\\server_name.domain_name\printer_share_name
The Printers are all setup as shared network printers from a Windows Server 2008 R2 Print Server. Each client workstation installs a label printer from that Print Server. The name is fixed and is not something that can be edited from the Windows side. The Windows side shows the same printer name regardless of Windows Operating System.
The two Active Directory Domain controllers are running Server 2012; soon to be 2012 R2.
I am running 10.0 SR1 build 2845.
What do I do to make the license server correctly name a printer?

Windows 8.0 / 2012 are supported from BarTender 10.0SR2 or later.
Windows 8.1 / 2012R2 are supported from BarTender 10.1SR2 or later.
Try update to 10.0SR4 at least, from service release site below:

Great!
I have updated to 10.1 SR4 on my SLS.
SLS continues to show both types of name for a printer, depending on the client's operating system; Win 7 or Win 8.
After installing 10.1 SR4 SLS showed the same contents BUT the Denied Status for non-checked KEEP printers was changed to the temp allowed status.
Any other facts as to the issue would help.

Did the BarTender clients on Windows 8.1 updated to 10.1SR4?
In that case, please wait some days as unused printer would be automatically disappeared after 7 days.
If that's not happens, please contact to regional tech support with screenshot of the SLS printer list, and printers shown on Win8 BarTender client.

Any update/fixes regarding this issue?
The Bartender 2016 License Server has the same issues when mixing Windows 7 and Windows 10 clients.
