    Deactivate the License Server, and then reactivate it using the new PKC for 40 printers.

    Hi Ian,

     

    Thanks for the help so its that simple. I wont have any problems.

     

    So i can switch in like  5 minutes ? there is no way i can have problems?

    If all goes well, there should be no problems.  However, I cannot predict the future.  If you have doubts, then do this during working hours so that you can call tech-support should you run into unforeseen problems.

    Hi,

    We have made a small upgrade of Automation licence from 10 to 12 printers. We are still using version 10.1 SR4. Will it alllow me to deactivate and than activate using this version ?

    This year we plan to upgrade to the newest version.

    Jorge Jorge: Providing all is well with the state of your license, there should be no reason why the deactivation/activation process to upgrade will not work - even on such an old license.  If you run into problems I'd advise that you contact Technical Support directly.  Activation issues are still covered for out of support software versions.

    Hi Ian,

    Thanks for your solution. It went well but we still see the license limit of 10 printers, not assuming the others 2 that we licensed.   What are we doing wrong ?

    It's possible the upgraded license was issued for a newer version of BarTender, since you're still using an older version please check with your reseller or our sales team  that the license was issued for the correct version.
