Basic question about Seagull's driver
Hi, I have some questions regarding the Seagull driver. I see this is not a BarTender issue, but I hope someone can help me regardless.
I need to a website the means to print a little adhesive label, the kind that comes in 8 or 10cm. wide rolls.
The goal is to have a office operator accessing the website and getting the labels in local printer, attached though local TCP/IP or USB.
I wasn't aware that this could be much more complicated than printing in a regular office printer, so I am looking for some advice now.
The driver's presentation reads: "Drivers by Seagull™ make it easy to print labels, cards, and more from any true Windows program."
What I understand from that is that having the driver installed on windows terminals, would allow me to print from any application such as word, excel, a pdf reader.
Is that so?
What about sending print jobs from a web browser?
From a browser would be my ideal scenario but batch processing a pdf would be good enough...
I'm consideraing an Xprinter XP-410B unit, due to Zebra's being way too expensive for the proyect.
So, I hope I can get some help even if it's not BT related...
Thanks in advance.

It is just a print driver and so that should be possible the only issue will be is declaring the correct page size to match the printer/labels in your other application.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
What I "grasped" from seeking information around is that the available page sizes are almost totally dependent on what the printer drivers "registers" as supported sizes.
So I was hoping that options such as "80mm x 50mm label" would become available as soon as I installed this driver and I could select that in the browser's print dialog and send the job to it.
Is this so, or am I approaching this with totally wrong assumptions?
Thanks again.
Ariel.

pthane thank you so much for taking the time to answer and include that screencap. That looks exactly like what I needed to know!
The project's future looks much more promising now.
Best regards.
Ariel.
