Nothing will print
I am trying to print text onto a pre printed direct thermal label using a datamax i Class mark 2 printer. I have my text box created and filled out in bartender, but when I attempt to print, it runs a cycle, but nothing is actually printed onto the label. I cannot get a test label to print with any results either. I have checked all my media settings etc and nothing seems to get results.

May sound a daft question but are you sure it is a direct thermal label and that it doesn't need a ribbon? If you set a print to print in direct thermal mode when the label does not match, the device will just feed out a blank label as it media wont "react" and print anything on it. If you run your finger nail over the label a few times does the label show black lines?
The only other thing I can think off is there is not enough head pressure so the label and printhead are not touching

Yes, it is 100% a direct thermal label. I have occasionally been able to get a test print to work, but am unable to reproduce it consistently.
