Error 6243 - SQL Server LocalDB could not be configured

Dear Support,

I would like to use BarTender without SQL server express. This should be possible because the SQL express server is used only for BarTender System Database, Librarian, History Explorer and Reprint Console.

Quote from your manual: If you are using your own Microsoft SQL Server instance or not using these features, you can choose to uncheck this option and skip the Microsoft SQL Server Express installation.

Even if unchecked the installation wizard will install Microsoft SQL Server express which is weird. But no big deal I can remove it manually. However after removing Microsoft SQL server manually the software works fine execpt for the #6243 error message.

  You may want to check that all the logging options are disabled

  Thanks for the feedback. Can you elaborate where I can find all the logging options and how to disable them?

  In BarTender Designer > Administer and Log Setup and in Administration Console > System Database there are a couple of options in there too
