Blocking prints to printers with an invalid page size
Hello! Ran into an interesting problem today. I have a label (6" width by 4" tall) that I normally print to a ZT420 device, which supports this size. No problems. Today one of the floor staff accidentally printed this label template to a ZT410, which does not support a 6" width. What BarTender did, however, was turned the label template 90 degrees and attempted to print it to the ZT410.
Is there a way to stop prints to specific printer types (driver types, in this case I guess). I know you can set settings in a template per driver. Is there a way to tell this template that it can't print to anything except a ZT420 or ZT421?
Thanks!

The users should have received a message that the label would not fit and asking if they wanted BarTender to adjust it automatically, but that is probably irrelevant for your query.
Is the 420 driver that same one as that was used to design the label (ie either shared or locally installed on that PC)? Are you the Starter edition of BarTender or one of the higher spec versions?

Peter,
Yes the ZT420 driver is the same driver I used to design the label. I'm on the Automation version of BarTender. This print is being triggered through a file integration.

Should the ZT420 always be the printer used for that trigger file, ie can you configure the integration to automatically choose that driver and ignore the command which I am guessing is in the file/command?
