Using one layout with form input AND integration
We have a setup, where we use a database integration to receive print requests from an application. Sometimes the integration can fail and we need a backup solution. I want to use print portal and have a data input form in my layout, that substitutes the integration data. Obviously, I do not want to have to maintain two versions of the same layout, one for integration and one for forms input.
Is there a way I can use the same layout with an input form from a database integration?

I have previously configured something similar you Print Station but not with Print Portal although it probably would still work but you would need to configure the integration to access the label format from the folder that Print Portal uses and so has sufficient permissions.

Good morning, Peter Thane and thanks for your reply.
The access would not be the problem, I have full control over file system permissions in relation to BarTender services and users. My question is more about how to suppress the input form popping up. When I use a BTW file with an input form in a scheduled integration, the input form still appears, even when fully deployed.

With the label correctly linked in the Integration you are then able to specify that, for example, the value of field 3 in the trigger file is the value to be used for Data Entry input/Query Prompt so that wont be an issue

I just got the answer from support: Like every object in the layout, you can activate the form conditionally based on a Named Data Source.
I define a NDS with a default value, indicating interactive use, and the form opens. But when I open it from an Integration, I set the NDS accordingly and the form is suppressed.Works like a charm!
