I have a Xprinter XP-360B and I can't print barcodes from a .txt file . ¿Someone can help me?
I have a Xprinter XP-360B, the website where I sell my products gave me a .txt file (which is a label with a barcode for shipping) containing some weird code and the title of my products.
But I can't print it. I sent it directly to the printer and the text is printed as is, nothing of a barcode appears, as is the printer didn't know how to interpret the simbols.
The .txt file contains this:

I asked the website how I must print that file, which the told me to install a generic/txt only driver, I install it but is the same. I donwloaded other programs that read this file (diagtool) and I check this whole site lookng for maybe a full installed with a program who can do that. But I haven't found anything.
Someone can help me?

The file they have sent you is in Zebra (ZPL) printer code and so you would need either a Zebra print to print it or a printer with Zebra/ZPL emulation enabled.
I am hoping there is more to the file too as that is not a full ZPL label file as various of the commands are missing, including the actual print command.

Really? I was hoping i needed some software from bartender to solve the problem.
Yes, there are more lines of that file, I only show the beginning as an example.
Then, no other printer from Bartender is usefull for me in this case?0 -
No sorry Hector the file you have been sent contains the same type of code that would be sent from BarTender to a Zebra printer and BarTender cannot "reverse engineer" this.
As mentioned above to be able to print the file as it is you would need a ZPL printer or one that includes ZPL compatibility functionality.
If the company were able to send you just the file of the data that needs to be printed on the label then that is another matter as you could create the label in BarTender configured to use your printer and then use the file they sent as the "database". The file would need to be in a set fixed format such as
Product Code1, Description1,SKU1, Qty1,Number of labels1.....
ProductCode2,Desctriptio2,........etc

Hi Peter, I have a question on this ZPL thing. I use bartender to print to videojet printer using ZPL emulation driver from seagull enabled on videojet printer. I use Zebra driver from seagull instead of videojet driver from seagull because videojet driver sends print job as graphics. thus print result is not as good. printing to zebra driver results in much better result. it so happens that video jet printer enables zpl and sato emulations.
I have a question on variable data. When I print expiry date (say 5 days from today the 31st of may), it prints it well today it prints june 5th. But tomorrow's expiration date is still june 5th and not june 6th. i get around this by sending new print order tomorrow to yield correct data.
Is there a way to have the printer store print job for 2 days, and yet the expiry date is still correct?
I wish to be able to print "now time" using the printer. which would not be possible if bartender can only send static data to ZPL emulation printer. Do i need to include a certain ZPL programming language to the btw file? Where do i type the ZPL programming language?
I also have not been able to print logo to ZPL emulation. would you help with this too please

Sorry I do not know how sophisticated the emulation is.
When using a Zebra printer and you wish to print the "now" time then this is only possible with certain devices that have a Real Time Clock on bard (such as the ZE500 print engine). I do not think this will work in emulation mode as not only does the Zebra printer have only produce the Real Time date fields in certain formats but they must also use one of its own embedded fonts which I doubt is present in an emulation.
For the graphics, I am guessing the issue is similar. When a graphic is sent to a Zebra it is cached into RAM and is later called up by the label as it is printed. As part of the command string to store the image the printer is told the reference of the memory module to store it. If you checkout File>Print>Printer Properties>Tools>Manage Cache you will where BarTender tries to cache the graphics but with an emulation I expect this location does not exist.
I guess there is not harm in trying Real Time Clock configuration and see what happens with that and you could using one of the other memory locations for the graphic too.
I hope this makes sense but probably not what you wanted to hear.

Hello pete! Hoping on hope that u help. My xp-360b doesn't print on label stick paper. It just beeps anytime I click print, but prints on thermal paper fine. I tricked it by sticking some label sticker on to a thermal paper an inserting it into the printer whether it was a size issues and it printed in the label printer. What seems to be problem and what should I do.

I don't know the printer at all but it sounds like it is a sensor issue and the unit is not detecting the label gaps. Have you adjusted the sensor type in the driver? You can find the setting on the droddown highlighted
