smudge printing

Hi, 

 

I am printing on TSC TTP 342e Pro printer and my barcode is always smudged and unscannable. 

My label width is limited to 48mm and i have to use CODE 39 for 13 characters for the barcode.

In my setting i had to use X-dimension = 0.13 so it fits the label. 

Is there a solution to this? I can't seem to adjust heat settings for the printer so i can't try that.

  If you are using the Seagull driver then the heat/darkness setting can be found here (from Documents Properties):

  

   

  Are you sure you have installed the correct driver too as the TTP 342e Pro printer is a 300dpi printer and so you should not be able to printer a barcode at 0.13 X dimension as that is out of spec for the unit and will cause print quality issues? The barcode options for 300dpi should be 0.08 or 0.17 X dimension.

  Thanks for the amazing response! You are right, i checked and the set printer is for a TTP 244 Pro, will use the correct settings and drivers. At the same time, i will try the darkness settings!!!
