    Hello Tom,

    Welcome to the Community Forum!

Print Portal offers a search bar and can group templates by product (however, I'm pretty sure you are looking for a more advanced filter, right?):

We would appreciate it if you could give us a little more context on your query so we can better understand it.

    Thanks!

I will give an example for 1 template:

Template X is assigned to 5 different product numbers.

In print portal the only way I can search is by template name (unless there is something more to search by that I am unaware of).

I do not want to make 5 copies of the template and give each one a different name that has the product number in the file name, so I can then search on the number.  I need some kind of shortcut that will take me to the correct template when I search by product number.

FYI, When using BatchMaker utility, I can create shortcuts to a template that have the product number in the name, and load the correct template using the shortcut.

For example, I can make at shortcut to Template X and rename it [product_number].btw.  When I search for the product number, search finds the shortcut, and opens Template X for printing.

I am looking for something similar to this for the Print Portal.

I have an Update to this post.  We have successfully designed a system using the Print Station module, Windows Server Remote Web App function, and template Shortcuts.

Remote Web Application:  Using the Remote Web App function on Windows Server 2019, we share the Print Station module and Bartender Designer with users.  On user computers they log into the Remote web app using a web browser and user system credentials.

Templates: To present templates to users, we created 2 folders on the server: 1) Templates, 2) SKU lookup.

The templates folder is available only to users who use the Bartender Designer and has all our templates.  The SKU lookup folder has shortcuts to templates.  For every SKU in our inventory, we created a shortcut to the template it is assigned to, and stored in a separate folder from templates.  We named the shortcuts with the SKU number to the template name in the shortcut.  For example 123456.TemplateX.

Print Station:  In Print Station settings, we share the SKU Lookup folder with all the shortcuts. Users can search for the correct SKU using the Print Station search function.  When they click on the shortcut, the template opens and away we go.

Printers: All label printers are set up on the Network Server and all are connected to our company network.  Print Station presents users a list of the printers on the Server at print time.

Very happy with how this is working for us.

Benefits for us:  All of our Bartender functions run on a single server.  We do not have to install Bartender on local PC's.  We do not have to install printers on local PC's.  Troubleshooting occurs only at the Network Server and not on local PC's.

Bartender Version : 2016, Enterprise Automation Edition.
