Bartender 2021 starter edition
I have this edition for 1 printer license but i was able to send print jobs to more than 1 printer couple of days ago but recently i am unable to do so. I read up the "Printer-Based Licensing Understanding Printer-Based Licensing for BarTender Supports the following BarTender software versions:BarTender 2019 " but i am still unclear about this 30 days grace period stuff.
This is one of the issue. Have a cannon copier print driver and a label printer print driver installed on a PC with a Bartender standard 1 license software. Prints Jobs was send to test connectivity to the copier before send to the Label printer. Suddenly , for today it pops up an error #1401 and now it cannot allow print jobs to send to the label Printer. How can this be resolved ?
The Admin console licensing> License setup status indicate normal , does not indicate issue with grace period expired issue.
And in any case, if the issue indicates the status message indicates overuse stage how can it be resolved ? Will uninstall the printer driver of the cannon copier helps in this case ?

At the end of the grace period (not sure if this is less for Starter edition than the full editions) my understanding is that BarTender will count the last X printed too devices, during the grace period, to be the licenced devices and so that could be why the Canon is licenced and not the label printer.
Assuming you have not sent any print jobs to the Canon since the grace has expired, if you Prevent BarTender from using this printer from within Admin Console (see image below) then that may free up the licence slot or if not you will need to open a proper support ticket with the Seagull team and ask them for some assistance in freeing up the slot/extending the the grace period I would suggest

HI, i am still facing issue with this licensing with error code #1401 frequently. And it stops me from using any other printer for 7days.........that's bad and no other options.
I am in the tech support role for some of my customers but i can't even resolve my own usage issue. In my case, due to windows error or printer driver related issue, i have to re-install the printer driver and then it becomes something new and bartender comes up with such error code.
In times, i have to print on other printer, for demo and support at customer site, i am blocked too.
Is there anyway at all to minimize this ? If i have no choice i will switch to other application software. It's too much of hassle. I am not sure why Bartender resort to such control.

It sounds like you need to add extra printer licence(s) to your software to allow you to be able to print to the extra devices.

I have this customer that i recommended them to use bartender single license with our label printer. This customer is going to send the current printer for servicing so we did a Hot swap to another label printer , same model.
What can i do to make sure the current bartender works with this swapped printer?
