Date/Time Formatting in Database
I am importing/connecting to an excel database. In the excel spreadsheet there is a time column formatted as the following: hh:mm:ss. When i import the database into BarTender, it imports a date with the time in the same column, instead of just the time. The date that it imports is not the date corresponding to the time, nor todays date. It is important that I import the just the time into my database because I need to subtract a certain amount of hours/minutes from the time for a query. Any help with this? is it something to do with the excel file? When I import the database as a .csv I do not have this problem, but I need it as an .xlsm file

I think if you change the Data Type to Time then that should sort it for you.
I could be wrong, but my guess is the ODBC driver automatically sends it through as a date and time field, but hopefully the above will strip off the date element.
(Not sure if you can use the Transforms>Offset functionality to perform the subtraction for you as the amount to adjust can come be constant or taken from other sources)
