File detection without deleting file

Hello,

I have a folder that receives log files and I want to send an email to some people for some of those logs.

I have no problem handling this request except on one point : I do not want to delete or rename the file(s) after they are processed because they are used by another application and should stay at their location.

But when I leave them in the detection folder, the integration is continuously looping through all of them :(

I want to process only new files.

Any hint on how I should do ?

  Welcome to the BarTender Community Forum!
  
  This is easily achieveable in BarTender 2022. In the File Detection tab, you should be able to see the newly added "File Created" checkbox, if you were to check it, even if you would not rename the file, then the integration would only detect this file the first time it is found the file location of your choosing:

  That's indeed "easily done in 2022" :)

  Unfortunately, I have to stick with 2021 for now. At least until I prepare to upgrade.

  So a 2021 solution would be nice, if possible.
